For safety, don’t share phone numbers, emails, or WhatsApp/social handles in chat. Messages with contact details may be blocked. In some cases, after a period of positive conversation, contact sharing may become available.
Phone numbers in any format (e.g., 070…, +44…, +234…)
Email addresses (e.g., name@example.com)

Asking someone to move off Yetunde (“let’s talk on WhatsApp/Telegram/IG DM”)
Moving off-platform too early increases the risk of scams, harassment, and impersonation. Keeping chats on Yetunde helps us protect our community and act quickly if something goes wrong.
We may enable contact sharing for trusted matches after enough time and positive activity in chat. If you’re eligible, you’ll see a clear prompt in the conversation. If you don’t see a prompt, contact sharing isn’t available yet.
Messages that contain contact details may be blocked with a friendly reminder.
Repeated attempts can lead to temporary chat limits or other account actions.
You can reply: “I prefer to keep chatting on Yetunde for safety.”
If they insist or make you uncomfortable, report the conversation using the “Report” option in chat.
Never send money or share verification codes/passwords.
Meet in public places; tell a friend your plans.
If you feel unsafe, stop chatting and report right away.
