2) Change your name or age

Summary:
You can change your display name in Profile. Age is tied to your verified ID and can’t be edited.

Steps (change display name)

  1. Go to Profile → Edit → Name.

  2. Enter your preferred display name and save.

Why age can’t change
Age comes from your Age & ID Verification to keep the community 18+ and safe. If your verified DOB is wrong on your ID, update the ID first, then contact support.

3) Profile photos — do’s & don’ts

Summary:
Good photos = better matches. Use recent, well-lit images that clearly show your face. Avoid misleading or unsafe content.

Do

  • Use recent (≤12 months), clear, front-facing photos.

  • Include one full-length and one candid/context shot.

  • Keep backgrounds tidy; natural light beats flash.

Don’t

  • No group shots only / no sunglasses in every photo.

  • No hate symbols, explicit or illegal content (see Guidelines).

  • Don’t post other people’s images or minors.

4) Preferences (age & distance) to improve matches

Summary:
Set your preferred age range and distance to shape who you see. Loosening your filters increases match volume.

Steps

  1. Open Profile → Edit → Preferences.

  2. Adjust Age range and Distance sliders; save.

Tips

  • If matches are slow, widen by +5 years and +10–20 km.

  • Revisit monthly; Boosters can increase visibility temporarily.

5) Location & visibility (how Yetunde uses location)

Summary:
Yetunde uses your location to show nearby profiles and improve relevance. You control visibility via your device settings.

How it works

  • Allow location on your device for accurate discovery.

  • If disabled, you’ll see broader, less-accurate results.

7) Bio & interests — write a profile that sparks replies

Summary:
Short, specific bios get more responses. Share who you are and what you’re looking for; give people an easy opener.

Template (copy/paste & tweak)

  • About me: “Product designer, choir alto, weekend hiker.”

  • Looking for: “Serious relationship; Yoruba culture matters to me.”

  • Conversation hook: “Ask me about the best amala in Lagos.”

Checklist

  • 3–5 lines, no clichés, one hook.

  • Match photos to bio (if you say you hike, show it!).

  • Proofread—clarity is attractive.
